In Florida, you may face a fine of up to $5,000 per offense if you work this industry without a license as a sales person or installer for Fire Alarm, CCTV, Burglar Alarm, or Access Control. Reference Florida Statues: 489.5185 / 489.518 and 489.533. You are responsible for your FASA-BASA Certification being active, your employer may also be penalized if your certification is not current. Certifications must be renewed every two years.
